Away from the humdrum, you pause a breath

As you take those dainty steps
Leaving tiny footprints on sand
The soft white beneath gives your feet respite
From everyday dull yet deadly fights.
Oh how tiny, how inadequate our footprints are
How transient, how fleeting our emotions, threadbare
What we crown as important or immoral
The timeless sand brushes away as inconsequential!
Your tired limbs, your staggered thoughts
Your mind far away many nautical miles, distraught
The waves crash leaving their silver surf
To sprinkle laughter and wash you with love.
With the timeless expanse of the sand, the sea
The mystic horizon stretching over the land and the sky, pristine
Time is wrapped in a sphere of shifting sand of present and past
We wash our sins, cleanse our minds, rinse our hearts with thoughts divine.
The Rubik Cube with its pieces of life lay
As they juggle us in a game of universal play
The past slides over the present, the present loses its lustre of arrogance
And the sun sets over the mighty ocean, wrapping us in the reality of her mystic golden.
We stare at the molten gold, glistening the blue with her magical glean
Our then and our now embrace in a divine spin
With everything timeless in that endless expanse
Wash away all ills and gift us memories, with love divine
